WALKING IN THE WORLD

Spiritual traditions cultivate walking meditation as a powerful way to reach new places of understanding and self-healing. Especially in times of change, mindful walking keeps us steady and strong. We move forward with purpose, reaffirming our own truth and making our unique path as we go.

Walking itself increases circulation of fresh ideas, renews the body-mind, and invokes holistic creativity. There is time for stillness and motion, easy silence and meaningful words.  At walking pace, we are slow enough to appreciate Nature’s synchronous events as teachings for our own healing transformation.

Venture beyond the office for a Walking in the World session. Together we will bring present moment awareness to work and play with change, as it is showing up in your life.

- Practice being present and grounded in the wider world

- Experience Nature as a mirror and teacher for your inner nature

- Get unstuck, release stagnation, and restore your creative flow

- Step beyond destructive patterns and outdated beliefs

- Gain greater perspective and wider vistas

- Breathe in fresh ideas, choices, and outcomes

- Try out new ways to move forward and integrate change

This is not a fitness workout. No movement experience is necessary. Walking in the World follows mapped and spontaneous routes in the wilds of San Francisco: Golden Gate Park, Crissy Field, Land’s End, Ocean Beach, Dolores Park, neighborhood hills and hidden stairways.

“I am grateful for Carol's work… I experienced a reconnection to my heart
and a softening of my perception. The world looked brighter, more palpable….

I felt an overall sense of groundedness that comes with a basic sense of trust.”
- JP, mind-body counseling intern
